About Helpless Children's Paradise

Helpless Children's Paradise (HCP) is a volunteer organization located at small community in Basundhara, Kathmandu, Nepal, working to rehabilitate deprived, helpless and orphaned children in Nepal. More than a decade long of political violence has hugely affected the socio-economic lives of people in Nepal, and the most affected are undoubtedly the children.

Dancing with Krishna

Krishna Astami fell on August 28 this year. Krishna Astami has great importance in Hindu Religion as this is the day in which Lord Krishna was born.
Children at HCP celebrated this holy festival dressing up themselves as Krishna, Radha (Krishna's soulmate) and Gopinis (Devotees of Krishna) and dancing in near-by temple.

Stone Painting

August 23, 2013.


Children at HCP are all-rounder. They are good at academic studies, sports and have keen interest in art as well. Children at HCP had opened a stall in an exhibition held in Nature's Club. They had put their creations for selling and raising fund for their pocket money. Their creation included like stone painting, paper bags and necklaces.

Getting Awards

April 15, 2013.


This year as well, the children at Paradise have shown that they are doing very well in their studies.
Nirmala, Saraswati (saru), Rambir and Sabi have secured the top three positions in their classes. Other children have passed with Distinction marks.

Festival of Color, Holi

March 13, 2013.


"Holi" is a very auspicious festival celebrated each year during the month on "Falgun", which falls in March.

Christmas Presents from Sasaki (佐々木さんよりクリスマス プレゼント)

Sasaki, is a volunteer from Japan who has been involved in various volunteer activities in Nepal since over a decade. She is one of well wishers of HCP. Like last year, this year as well, has sent wonderful gifts to Children for this Christmas.
佐々木さんはネパールに様々の活動をしている日本のボランティアです。昨年のように今年もパラダイスの子供達に可愛いです洋服を贈り物として送ってくださいました。洋服をもらって嬉しいそうな姿を見せている子供達の写真をどうぞご覧ください。

Praying for Peace with the 13 Grandmother

Our children were very fortunate to join in the Prayer for Peace program at Kathmandu on Nov 8-11, 2012, organised by International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. They were treated as special guests by the powerful grandmothers and received a lot of blessing from them.

Sunil Wins Drawing Competition

Sunil Thakur, one of the brightest children of HCP has shown that he's equally good when it comes to drawing. Sunil secured 2nd position in the drawing competition at his school. He has made everybody proud at HCP.
